In my Vietnam Cupid review, I’ll share with you my most recent results in February/March 2019. Cupid is undoubtedly one of the best Vietnamese dating sites, especially since there aren’t many other options.
Over the past several years, Cupid Media sites have fallen off a bit since the golden age, but Vietnam Cupid is one site that’s holding up quite well.
In fact, it reminds me of what Filipino Cupid was like toward the tail end of its best years.
I think what’s shifted a good deal of power back to Cupid sites is that Cupid recently updated its outdated interface.
Additionally, women who are serious about finding a partner are getting tired of being asked for sex by men on Tinder, which has led women back to Cupid.
In my one month of using Vietnam Cupid, I found success, and I think most men can too.

How to Use Vietnam Cupid
The Vietnamcupid login is straightforward enough for anyone to accomplish. Below is a screenshot of the signup process once you’ve navigated to their site.
It’s free to join, but if you want to date Vietnamese women or chat with them, you’ll need to eventually buy a Gold or Platinum membership.
I bought the Platinum membership since it’s only a few extra bucks compared to Gold. Here’s a screenshot of my receipt for my recent Platinum purchase.
Once you’re signed up, you’ll unlock all the custom filters in the Vietnam Cupid search menu, which leads us to our next section.
Vietnam Cupid Search
The beauty of Cupid sites is the search function. You can really narrow down the type of Vietnamese woman who interests you the most.
You’ll be able to see when they were last active and all the personal details they filled out in their profiles.
Once you’ve upgraded your membership, you’re free to message as many women as you like.
Below is a series of screenshots to show you all the filters you have to choose from:
See the “Save search as” option at the bottom? I recommend using that option because later you can go back and run the same searches without having to enter all your filters again. All you need to do is click the “Saved Searches” tab to access your custom saved searches.
I also recommend using the searches located in the “Popular Searches” tab. There you’ll find some exciting searches and beautiful Vietnamese women.
Adding Your Profile Photos
One of the things I don’t like about Cupid sites is how strict they are about what photos you can upload.
I’ve experienced several instances where I followed the rules, and they denied my photos nonetheless.
What I usually do is try to upload the same photos again because sometimes they’ll accept them on the second or third try.
A general rule to follow is to keep the photos more PG than ones you may use on Tinder or Instagram.

Vietnamese Dating Etiquette and Culture
Chances are if you’re reading my review, you’re a foreigner. It’s important to know that Vietnamese families are more conservative than in the Western world.
You may be able to easily meet women, but when it comes time to escalate the relationship to the next level, meeting her family can be a hurdle.
Vietnamese people are very friendly in general in my experience, however, there are a lot of Vietnamese who aren’t happy about foreigners entering their country and wooing their daughters (I don’t blame them either).
I’ve dated several Vietnamese women and have yet to meet any Vietnamese parents.
For example, the girl I dated when I was last in Vietnam couldn’t stay out past 9 p.m. The one time we were able to spend the night together was when we took a weekend trip to the beach.
A lot of Vietnamese women live with their parents, and it’s completely normal in Vietnamese culture.
It’s best to meet outside at a coffee shop for a first date to get to know each other. Vietnamese women love coffee, and there are coffee shops all over the place.
I’m always amazed by the way Vietnamese women carry themselves, and it’s one of the main reasons I’m so attracted to them.
A lot of them learn how to ride a motorbike before they know how to walk.
Messaging Women on Vietnam Cupid
Leave the fancy pickup lines and macho stuff at the door when you message women on Cupid.
Talk to them the same way you would approach a stranger in real life with a “Hello” or “Good afternoon.” If they’re interested, they’ll reply.
Don’t get frustrated if not every woman replies (trust me I’ve been there) because a lot of them won’t.
Focus on the women who do reply and let the conversation flow naturally until you ask for her number.
You’ll want to move the conversation to a chat app (download Zalo because everyone in Vietnam uses it) or social media since chatting in Cupid for too long can become laborious.
Here’s an example of how I asked for a girl’s number who I ended up meeting later on:
The example above should give you an idea of how to uncomplicate the process.
One of the things I love about Cupid is that once I’m signed up for Platinum, I can copy and paste the same message to many women who interest me in no time at all. Then I’ll come back the next day to see who responded and go from there. If a woman I’m highly interested in doesn’t respond, I’ll add her to my favorites, then allow some time to pass before trying again.
Tips for Dating a Vietnamese Woman
Once you’ve successfully scheduled a date with a girl, here are some things to be aware of when dating a Vietnamese girl:
- A Vietnamese girlfriend will treat you like a king if you treat her like your queen. She’ll want to do everything with you and even buy matching bike helmets.
- If you cross a Vietnamese woman or turn your back on her, there’s a very slim chance of her forgiving you. Vietnamese girls can fall out of love just as easily as they can fall in love. You may see a dark side of her you never could have imagined when you saw nothing but her sweet side before you did her wrong.
- I’ve noticed that while they are strong women, Vietnamese women can be very sensitive and delicate in some situations. Watch what you say because you could unintentionally hurt her feelings.
- They can get jealous easily – a trait seen in most Asian women.
- Vietnamese women are super loyal once they’ve fallen for you, which can happen fast. This can be a good and bad thing for some guys. Personally, I need a lot of space. This makes it hard for me to fall in love with a Vietnamese girl.
How to Win a Vietnamese Woman’s Heart
Once you’ve been on a couple of dates, and the relationship is moving in a positive direction, you can accelerate the process.
If you’re serious about marrying a Vietnamese woman or getting in a serious relationship, be as romantic as possible.
Little things like buying her flowers or taking a romantic evening walk along the river will win her heart.
Vietnam itself is an amazing country and easy to travel around. A romantic weekend getaway at the beach or a place like Dalat will take your relationship to the next level.
Vietnamese women are extremely feminine – another reason why I love them – so keep that in mind when you’re falling in love with her.
Women’s roles in Vietnamese culture are also broadening at a rapid rate. Women in their 20s, 30s, and 40s are taking on the same professions you may find in the Western world.
Is Vietnam Cupid worth it? I think it is, and it’s a much better option than Tinder for most guys.
If you’re looking for a Vietnamese girlfriend or wife, Cupid is the best Vietnamese dating site for you.
Tinder in Vietnam works well, but I don’t recommend using it unless you have thicker skin and a solid profile.
A lot of the girls on Tinder in Vietnam have already met foreign men and been hurt by them.
In the month I used Vietnam Cupid, I had several successful dates. The women were very responsive and open to dating foreigners.
Here’s an example of women sending me their numbers after I had asked them:
