Now that you’re signed up, it’s time to get down to business. This is the fun part, and there are some cool features I like about this app that other apps like Tinder don’t offer.

Browsing Members

Use the search function inside the app to target singles in any Asian country you desire. If you’re not sure which country interests you the most, simply search all countries, and the app will show you a list of Asian singles who match your search criteria.

Once you see a guy or girl who interests you, you have the option to send interest, add to favorites, or initiate a conversation. That’s right, you don’t have to worry about matching first before sending a message.

This is one of the greatest advantages of TrulyAsian because the problem with match apps is too many people are now on them. Even if your potential match would like you back, she may never see you unless she swipes through 100s of profiles first.

Considering attention spans are getting shorter by the day, it’s better to contact the people who interest you directly.

Chatting (Video Calls Available)

Another feature I like is the option to have a video call with someone you’ve been chatting with right inside the app. If you’re both online, it’s easy to start a video chat. I recommend always doing at least one video chat before you meet someone in person to ensure you’re not being catfished.

One of my biggest pet peeves with other dating apps is the lack of sorting. A lot of my matches end up in an abyss, and those lost matches could have been great opportunities to meet someone.

You won’t have that problem with TrulyAsian because the chat screen is organized and allows you to sort.

Adding Photos

Adding photos is easy whether you’re using the desktop version or adding photos from your phone (I prefer using my phone).

Another unique feature I want to highlight is TrulyAsian gives you the option to upload public and private photos.

This gives you the choice to only show your spicier photos to the people you’ve gotten to know.

There’s a link to the photo guidelines on the same screen that you should probably check out before adding your photos. All dating sites have different rules for profile photos, and it’s best to follow them to avoid being banned or losing access to the app.

Translation

The last feature I want to discuss before I give my final score is the translation function inside the app. Instead of copying and pasting every message written by the Chinese girl of your dreams into Google Translate, the TrulyAsian app translates the messages for you.

Overall, I give the TrulyAsian dating app a thumbs up. It passed my scam test, there are enough members (particularly single Asian women) to make it worth using, and the unique features are excellent to have.
